CAMERON FINDS A FRIEND

Cam walks past a pet store on her way to school every day and has grown fond this little dog in particular, whom she has named XaioBai Snowflake. Due to the high temperature, she is concerned about the welfare of the dogs in outdoor crates, so she carries an extra bottle of water just for the dogs. The pet store owner has come to expect Cameron's visits and  leaves the lid to Snowflake's crate open, so Cam can pet her.


She writes:

"I pass her and her fellow animals every day on the way to school, and I've started carrying a bottle of water that I call Dog Water just to give to them. Some of them don't even have water bowls, so I pour it into the cap and hold it up to the bars so they can drink. They're always thirsty."
